EgyptAir Flight 804, an Airbus A320 with 56 passengers and 10 crew members, went down about halfway between the Greek island of Crete and Egypt's northern coastline after takeoff from Charles de Gaulle Airport, authorities said.
Within hours with no details or the slightest information Trump jerked to a reaction and tweeted.
Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, tweeted that it “"Looks like yet another terrorist attack. Airplane departed from Paris. When will we get tough, smart and vigilant? Great hate and sickness!"
I can agree his hate and sickness are at a pinnacle. He then doubled down with a guarantee. A guarantee about as valuable as the quality of a Trump steak.
"Another plane was blown up and I can practically guarantee who blew it up," Trump told http://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/trump-can-practically-guarantee-who-blew-up-plane-689512515657">MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program.
You got to love it when a snake oil salesman says "practically guarantee", the only guarantee is they are full of it.
As more information comes in it appears less likely it was a terrorist attack and more likely system failure.
Is this how he is going to act presidential? I'm curious if he were president would he have activated the military, pushed a button? Do we really want a president whose need for attention bordering on histrionic personality disorder and narcissism require him to toss out unsubstantiated "tweets" to enhance an atmosphere of fear for the sole purpose of furthering his goal of being president. Maybe he really so reckless and ignorant to threaten the stability and safety of a country to benefit his brand.
There is an alternative although still self serving he doesn't come across as stupid. Maybe his quick claims of a terrorist bombing was to protect the share prices of Boeing stock. Any system failures of either Boeing or Airbus would bring down the prices of all stocks. It wasn't that long ago Trump invested heavily in Boeing stocks, he made 80% gain, $4 million profit when selling shares. there is noway to know how many shares he still holds or if he holds shares in Airbus as well, one more reason he should releases his tax returns.
